Buying a home in a low inventory market

It can be difficult to find the perfect home. Throw in the competition that has arisen from having such low inventory and it can feel like a nightmare!

Chin up! Even though inventory is sparse, the competition is not as great as it will be if interest rates drop again. All those buyers waiting for that magic number will come running and often the only way to compete then is to offer a lot of cash over list price!

That makes this fantastic time to start looking if you can afford the rates and home prices in this market.  It may not be a buyers market, but you do have more power and negotiation options available to you. Homes are sitting on the market longer and, oftentimes, that creates an amenable seller. This is why you need a Realtor that can think outside the box and negotiate effectively.
